HEAT IT UP PRIOR TO INSTALLATION!

Works & Looks GREAT on my 1967 Dodge Charger!
I wanted to keep the stock 16" diameter steering wheel, but it was too skinny (about 4" diameter?) and slippery (smooth, hard plastic), so I decided I needed to make it easier to grip and ordered this wrap. At first, I followed the directions and used a hair dryer to warm it up prior to installation: no good, I wasn't even close to getting it all the way on even with 4 hands (help from my wife). I was getting ready to return it but decided to try one more time. This time, I put it in our electric oven and set it to lowest setting, about 150 degrees. After 10 minutes I put some gloves on and removed it from the oven, and tried again. This time it was much more stretchable, and we got it on. The gloves weren't really needed at it was warm but not that hot. Once installed, it tightened up nicely, and I am very pleased with the results. Bottom line tho: it needs to be warmed.
